On the constructed part of the A1 motorway tolls are charged directly to users, and the cost is proportional to the number of kilometers. Tolls may be paid in cash, in local or foreign currency, by credit cards, bank transfer or contactless electronic billing system.
The toll collection system is fully integrated into a single unit, and includes financial control, traffic counting and video surveillance, and at any time there can be supervised the work and functioning of the entire system at any toll station from the main center which is located at the headquarters of the companies.
Toll stations are equipped with the most modern system for recording and control, so that the possibility of error or deliberate omission of the Treasurer has been reduced to a minimum. Toll revenues have recorded steady growth from year after year.
