The Ivan Tunnel is a two-pipe tunnel with two lanes each and will pass through the Ivan Sedlo mountain crossing. The total length of the right tunnel pipe is 1721.50 m, while the left tunnel pipe is 1761.50 m long and will be positioned below the existing Ivan Tunnel on the M-17 main road. The altitude at this location ranges from 500 to 1020 m, and the maximum height of the superstructure above the tunnel structure is about 200 m. The tunnel is designed to be constructed according to the New Austrian Tunnel Method (NATM). After exiting the tunnel, the route of the highway is temporarily connected with the M-17 main road, which marks the end of this section. The temporary connecting road is a two-way road with one lane each, it is about 700 m long. The connecting road starts from the future roundabout on the M-17 main road and continues to climb over the existing stream, over a 15 m long bridge, to the plateau of the side toll station in Bradina.
